Fort Myers, FloridaOlde Hickory Golf and Country Club announces one night only of “Classical Neapolitan Songs” at its club in Fort Myers, FL.  On Tuesday, January 31, 2012, Joseph Spinella will be the featured artist to celebrate the New Year.”

Mr. Spinella will be singing songs from his latest album, Spinella Tenor of Illusions, featuring classic Italian favorites, such as Rondine al Nido. The music is lively and entertaining and will surely bring a smile to everyone. Previews of the music are available on Amazon.com.

Spinella Tenor of Illusions features the most loved Italian songs - traditional Neapolitan, “popera” and opera arias - sung by master tenor, Joseph Spinella. Spinella’s voice has the power and majesty to convey the deep emotions of the cinematic original arrangements recorded by the Macedonian Symphony Orchestra. The album contains 13 soundtracks which are also incorporated into Spinella’s upcoming show tour.

Joseph Spinella is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, with a major in voice. He has participated in Master Classes with Birgit Nielsen, Eleanor Steber, and Regina Resnik. His tenor voice quality was described by Princeton’s weekly newspaper, Town Topics, as “a solid Metropolitan Opera level performer.” Joseph was discovered by Paul Nadler, one of the Metropolitan Opera conductors and was invited to work with Metropolitan Opera coaches in NYC. This began his regular sessions with Joan Dorneman, Luciano Pavarotti’s vocal coach of thirty years.

“Spinella's voice reminds us of the great tenors like Caruso, Lanza and Pavarotti. The Macedonian symphony has placed more of a techno-modern arrangement to these classic songs, giving them a more updated sound. But definitely, the voice and delivery of these songs, by Spinella, reminds us why they remain classics,” states World Book and News.

Olde Hickory Golf and Country Club is located at 14670 Old Hickory Blvd, Fort Myers, FL  33912. Reservations are required for this private, members-only event (239) 768-2400.
