FFA suspends Millionaires and Falcons one game

  • Rating: No Rating

The Florida Football Alliance has suspended the Sarasota Millionaires and Florida Falcons one game each due to the fights that broke out late in last Saturday’s game in Middleburg, FL. As a result, the Millionaires game vs. the Miami Bulls this Saturday (Feb. 27th) at Booker High School in Sarasota has been cancelled and will count as a forfeit loss to the team (2-4). The Falcons are in a bye week and will forfeit its next scheduled game vs. the Duval Panthers on March 6th.

The Florida Falcons were leading 20-8 with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter on Saturday night, when the skirmish occurred away from the play. Both team’s benches emptied which is a violation of FFA league rules. Commissioner Eddie Starling was given the game video from the Millionaires team videographer and also had access to the game broadcast via UStream.

The Millionaires next game is now March 6th in St. Petersburg vs. the Sharks.
