A lot of character actors back into acting sometimes accidentally. Not so for Brian Dennehy. He has a BFA from Columbia and only delayed his career by being a Marine for four years. His breakthrough movie role was as the mean sherriff to Sylvester Stallone's Rambo in FIRST BLOOD. He's a big, burly guy who played college football while being a thespian. He has appeared on and received Emmys for his many roles on TV including playing real-life serial killer John Wayne Gacey in TO CATCH A KILLER. A recovered alcoholic, he has turned back to stage work in his later years. He has previously won Tony Awards for his performances in Death of A Salesman and Long Days Journey Into Night. One of my favorite Dennehy roles was as the corrupt sherriff in the great Western SILVERADO. He currently lives in Woodstock CT and travels to his many stage performances including the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.
Been doing some infomercials and wrapped on DELSIN and LOVE LOST. Just had a wrap party for DEATH DO US PART and AMERICAN SOUTH has finally come out of post. Am also forming a local chapter of the FMPTA.
