7th Annual Dog Days Exhibition

  • Rating: No Rating

Art Uptown Gallery holds 7th annual juried art show, Dog Days at 1367 Main Street in Sarasota, Florida on August 7, 2015 from 6-9pm.

Included in the show is H.D. Hasselbarth black& white photograph entitled, 'Perdition.' A young girl stands on the fence as the winds swirls about her. Her red shirt symbolizes blood or the life-giving force in our lives. She appears lost and looking for something, perhaps life-changing.

Aren't we all standing on a precipice, searching for direction? Aren't we all looking for a sign to tell us which path to take? How many decisions are truly black & white? How many of us will find the courage to take the road less traveled? Did she?

There is a story behind each photograph. We just have to read between the lines.
